We were counting down the days till the next long weekend, and now that it’s just around the corner, we feel very unprepared..
Sounds familiar?
Well, no need to worry, there are tons of events happening all around Ireland this weekend, so no excuse to stay at home!
Here is our top 5, to get you started…
1.The Kingscourt Festival – Co Cavan
Expect madness and fun at the Kingscourt Festival this weekend. Some of the events include wellie throwing, balloon race and a Guinness book of Records attempt to get the largest number of drag queens dancing in a line.
So gentlemen, have a look at our women’s clothing section for some inspiration!
2. Castle Palooza – Co Offaly
The venue is a 17th century castle, and ticket holders have exclusive access! You are free to wander through the restored rooms and participate in workshops and Art exhibitions. This is a “boutique” Festival so expect a royal welcome! While there you can unwind by the open fires, visit the festival’s day spa and of course, listen to top Irish acts. One more very important fact: Camping facilities include FLUSHING toilets and Hot showers

3. Fly your own handmade kite – Co Dublin
This is a great event for children. There is a free workshop this Saturday in Dublin,on Lower Fitzwilliam Street, hosted by Imaginosity, Dublin Children’s Museum. If the rain was to spoil the day, have a look at our “educational” toys to keep the kids entertained.

4. The All Ireland Open Dog Show – Co Galway
How proud would you be if your dog won a beauty contest? There are 20 separate categories, including pure and mixed breeds, toy dogs, puppies and “the dog I would like to take home”. See the full list here.

5. The 3 Irish Open – Co Kerry
The 3 Irish Open takes place in the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club this year.
